Exchange prices for gas in Europe drop by over 4%

Exchange gas prices in Europe on the last trading day of the week lost more than 4%, being slightly above $750 per thousand cubic meters, Report informs via the London Stock Exchange ICE.
February futures on the TTF index (the largest hub in Europe, located in the Netherlands) opened trading at $750.5 per thousand cubic meters (-5%). Then they amounted to $755.6 (-4.4%). The dynamics of quotations is based on the settlement price of the previous trading day - $790 per thousand cubic meters.
Prices fell below $700 on January 5 for the first time in 16 months - since September 10, 2021.
