The EU is discussing diversification of energy supplies with various partners, Head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said in an interview with the Handelsblatt newspaper, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.
“In general, we are talking to every country, starting from Norway, a supplier with whom we have had reliable cooperation for a long time. Also, with Qatar, Azerbaijan and Egypt. Of course, the US also plays a big role. We will hold an energy summit in Washington on February 7,” she said.
She added that strategic energy cooperation was initiated with US President Joe Biden, it is primarily about liquefied natural gas.
