"The Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract was signed within the reconstruction and modernization project in November 2016. The first plants were launched in 2017-2018. In the first quarter of 2020, all new and revamped plants will be installed. Generally, the Plant will be launched with the new configuration in the second quarter of 2020," he said.
According to him, 80.5% works on modernization and reconstruction in the Plant have been completed: "At the same time, the engineering works were completed by 99.8%, supply by 96.4%, construction by 51%. All necessary equipment and materials will be delivered to the territory until May 2019."
Jafarov also noted that after implementation of the project the ethylene production will increase from 100,000-105,000 tonnes to 192,000 tonnes, and propylene production from 50,000-55,000 to 187,000 tonnes.
