The Estonian government has adopted a resolution that stops all imports of Russian oil products until the end of the transition period established by the European Union and introduces a ban on its supplies from December 5, Report informs citing Interfax.
The EU has introduced until February 2023 a gradual transition period for imposing sanctions on the import and transit of Russian oil products.
The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously sent a proposal to the European Commission on the introduction of a new package of sanctions and the immediate and comprehensive application of energy sanctions against Russian gas and oil.
