Erdogan: Turkiye has no problems with gas purchases

European countries are actively looking for new sources of gas, while Turkiye has no such problems, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a meeting of the parliamentary faction of the ruling Justice and Development Party on October 19 in Ankara, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.

Erdogan noted that during the last meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, they came to a consensus on the gas issue.

“Putin himself said that Europe can buy gas through Turkiye,” the president said, noting that an international gas hub would be created in Turkiye to supply Russian blue fuel to Europe. According to Erdogan, the hub is planned to be created in the shortest possible time, the most suitable place for it is the Trakya region in the European part of Turkiye.

Last week, President Putin at the Russian Energy Week forum talked about the idea of ​​creating in Turkiye the biggest gas hub in Europe, where the lost volume of transit through the Nord Stream can be redirected.
