Electricity generation at solar power plants in Azerbaijan up 8.3%

Thermal power plants in Azerbaijan produced 4,354.3 million kWh of electricity in January-February 2025, which is 38.1 million kWh or 0.9% more compared to the same period in 2024, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Energy.
During the reporting period, hydroelectric power plants produced 411.7 million kWh (+53.4%), and other sources were responsible for 98.8 million kWh (-3.04%).
During this period, wind power plants produced 5.8 million kWh (-38.9%), and solar power plants generated 54.9 million kWh of electricity (+8.3%).
The solid waste incineration plant produced 38.1 million kWh of electricity in the reporting period, which is 3.6 million kWh or 8.6% less compared to January-February 2024.
