Delegation of SOCAR, SOFAZ, BP views semi-submersible drilling rig named after Heydar Aliyev

As part of the Year of Heydar Aliyev, a delegation consisting of Israfil Mammadov, member of the Supervisory Board of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Executive Director of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ), SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and BP Regional President for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye Gary Jones got acquainted with a semi-submersible drilling rig named after Heydar Aliyev.

Report informs citing SOCAR that the purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the safe and efficient operation of the facility, which was opened in 2017, as well as to discuss current and future opportunities.

The visitors were informed about the current activities, modern technologies and safety systems of the installation, equipped with modern facilities for drilling operations.
