Chinese company to operate oil fields in Afghanistan

Mining and Oil Minister of Afghanistan's Taliban movement Shahabuddin Delawar and a representative of a Chinese company signed an agreement to exploit oil fields in the north of the country, according to state news agency Bakhtar, Report informs via Interfax.
"The area of the fields transferred to the Chinese company under the contract is 4.5 thousand square kilometers, and they are located in three provinces of the country: Sirpul, Jawzjan and Faryab," the report said.
No other details of the agreement have been disclosed.
