Bulgaria's national gas company, Bulgargas, predicts a 6% drop in gas prices for February.
Report informs, referring to the Bulgarian press, that according to the company's calculations, the price is set at 73 levs ($40.89) per MWh in the coming month, excluding taxes and other costs.
The decrease is due to various factors, including the long-term gas contract with Azerbaijan and liquefied natural gas purchased through auction. It is also planned to use gas from the country's storage in Chiren.
As reported, the estimated 6% discount may change, and the final bid will be made by Bulgargas. This proposal is subject to approval by the Bulgarian Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC).
