Azerenergy OJSC built or rebuilt 23 power stations and substations in 2021, Report informs, citing the OJSC.

According to Azerenergy, 500-kV Absheron substation - the country's largest substation, as well as strategically important 220-kV "Khirdalan" and "Hovsan", systemically important 110-kV "Binagadi", "Khirdalan-2", "Mashtaga", "Surakhani" substations were put into operation after reconstruction with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev.

On September 3, the overhaul of the Sumgayit Power Plant and the commissioning of an overpass pumping station on the new trestle with the participation of the President completed the Rehabilitation Program of the Energy System for 2018-2021.

In 2021, the New SCADA program of the Energy System was put into operation, and work has been completed on the Gobu Energy Junction, which consists of a 330-kV substation and a 385-megawatt power plant. Finally, in 2021, 13 energy facilities were built and reconstructed in the liberated territories. With the participation of the President, small hydroelectric power stations in Lachin - the Gulabird HPP, Sugovushan-1 and Sugovushan-2 - were inaugurated after reconstruction, and work was completed at the Kalbajar-1 Small Hydroelectric Power Station. 9 digital substations of 110/35/10 kV have been built in the liberated areas. President inaugurated the "Shusha" substation on May 12, "Fuzuli" and "Shukurbayli" substations on June 14, "Kalbajar" on August 16, "Jabrayil" on October 4, "Zangilan" on October 20, and "Gubadli" on October 25. The construction of 110/35/10 kV "Aghdam-1", "Aghdam-2" substations, as well as "Karabakh" Regional Digital Management Center, built in two places in the Aghdam district, has been completed.

According to Teymur Abdullayev, spokesman for Azerenergy OJSC, all 9 substations under construction in Karabakh and East Zangazur have been entirely digitized and connected to the general energy grid of Azerbaijan.

A 365 km long double-circuit 110 kV transmission line was laid in the ten directions in the liberated territories.
