Azerbaijan's urea output surpassed 200,000 tons in five months

In January–May of 2026, Azerbaijan produced 200,100 tons of urea, marking a 21.8% decline year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.
As of June 1, 82,100 tons of finished product remained in stock.
Urea is produced at the SOCAR Carbamide Plant located in the Sumgayit Industrial Park. The plant, inaugurated on January 16, 2019, has the capacity to produce 650,000–660,000 tons of urea annually, using 435 million cubic meters of natural gas as raw material. Seventy percent of production is designated for export.
