Azerbaijan’s SOCAR and North Macedonia's ESM expand energy cooperation

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and ESM JSC have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand cooperation in the energy sector in Skopje, North Macedonia, Report informs, citing SOCAR.
According to the MoU, the parties will focus on exploring opportunities to further expand cooperation in the supply of Azerbaijani natural gas to North Macedonia starting with the 2024 winter season, as well as exploring other energy-related projects.
North Macedonia has become the eleventh country to receive Azerbaijani gas, joining Türkiye, Georgia, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, and Slovenia.
