A Cooperation Agreement was signed between the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and American Baker Hughes Energy Company, Report informs, citing SOCAR.
Under the document signed by SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Baker Hughes President and CEO Lorenzo Simonelli, assembly, repair, and maintenance of electric-driven centrifugal pumps will be carried out in Azerbaijan.
According to the agreement between SOCAR’s Azneft Production Union and Baker Hughes Services International LLC, a new center will be created to assembly electric-driven centrifugal pumps. As part of the preparatory work, it was agreed to deliver 50 electric-driven centrifugal pump sets to Azerbaijan at the initial stage.
Along with simplifying the innovative approach to be applied, it will increase efficiency and productivity. As a result of using the new technology, the difficulties caused by the previous generation of submersible pumps, including increased production interruptions due to maintenance and reduced productivity, will be avoided.
Through strategic collaborations and experience exchanges with partners, as well as innovative approaches and the introduction of new technology, SOCAR aims to further improve its activity and get new achievements.
