Azerbaijan's methanol exports down by 8%

Azerbaijan exported 252,272.55 tons of methanol (methyl alcohol) worth $52,921,360 in January-July 2023, respectively, down 8.3% and 34.9% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
The share of methanol in Azerbaijan's non-oil exports amounted to 2.64%. During the reporting period, the percentage of methanol in a primary form in the country's total exports amounted to 0.25%.
In January-July 2023, Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with foreign countries worth $30.333 billion. Export operations amounted to $20.777 billion, while import operations made up $9.556 billion.
