In January-October 2024, Azerbaijan exported over 9.47 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Türkiye, representing a 10% growth year-on-year, Report informs, citing the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).
In October 2024 alone, Azerbaijan exported just over 1.008 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Türkiye, which is 40.29% more compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
Thus, Azerbaijan became the second-largest natural gas exporter to Türkiye in October of last year, accounting for 25.52% of the country’s total natural gas imports.
For comparison, in October 2023, Türkiye imported 718.91 million cubic meters of natural gas from Azerbaijan.
Overall, in October 2024, Türkiye imported over 3.952 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which is 17.69% more compared to the same month in 2023.
Russia held the first place in gas exports to Türkiye in October. In the 10th month of the year, 1.711 billion cubic meters of natural gas was exported from Russia to Türkiye, which is 13.84% more compared to October 2023.
Iran ranked third in October, delivering 866.31 million cubic meters of gas to Türkiye during that month. Gas transportation from Iran to Türkiye increased 6.75 times compared to August 2023.
