Azerbaijan invited to OPEC International Seminar to be held in July

Azerbaijan has been invited to the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) International Seminar to be held in July, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy.

It was revealed during a meeting between Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and OPEC Secretary General Haitham Al-Ghais on the sidelines of the Baku Energy Week.

The meeting expressed satisfaction with cooperation with Azerbaijan in the OPEC+ format and highly appreciated the role of the country in the process of regulating the oil market.

The importance of investments in hydrocarbons, including oil, against the backdrop of growing energy demand was also noted. The OPEC secretary general hailed the rational policy of the Azerbaijani president on the development of energy sources.

During the meeting, discussions were held on development trends in the global oil market, the level of implementation of production commitments by OPEC and non-OPEC countries, and the future role of oil in the energy balance.
