Azerbaijan, China discuss potential energy projects in Caspian Sea

Azerbaijan and China have discussed potential projects in the oil and gas sector and green energy, including possible energy projects in the Caspian Sea, Report informs, citing the Energy Ministry of Azerbaijan.

The discussions took place during a meeting between Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Zhang Chuanjiang, Chairman of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC).

The sides expressed satisfaction with the development of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China and noted that successful cooperation between the two countries in various fields was also creating broad opportunities in the energy sector. They also highlighted the importance of documents aimed at further strengthening strategic cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting covered existing energy cooperation between Azerbaijani and Chinese companies, as well as opportunities to develop the current partnership and implement new joint projects.

CNOOC representatives expressed interest in participating in energy projects being implemented in Azerbaijan.
