Azerbaijan boosts gas transportation via TANAP by over 5%

In January-April of 2025, Azerbaijan transported nearly 1.9 billion cubic meters of gas through the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP), marking a year-on-year increase of 5.55% or 0.1 billion cubic meters, Report informs, citing the country’s Energy Ministry.

Despite this rise in TANAP deliveries, Azerbaijan’s total gas exports amounted to 8 billion cubic meters in the first four months of 2025, reflecting a 5.9% decrease (0.5 billion cubic meters) compared to the previous year.

In 4 months, Azerbaijan exported 4 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe, a decline of 4.76% (0.2 billion cubic meters) year-on-year.

Meanwhile, gas exports to Türkiye totaled 3.1 billion cubic meters, down 3.12% (0.1 billion cubic meters), while deliveries to Georgia stood at 0.9 billion cubic meters, declining by 18.2% (0.2 billion cubic meters) compared to the first four months of 2024.
