Azerbaijan is anticipating new cooperation proposals from neighboring countries in the green energy sector, according to Araz Mammadzada, Director of the Training and Innovation Center at Azerishig JSC.
Speaking from Aghdam, Mammadzada emphasized Azerbaijan’s leadership in the region regarding the number of green energy sources and its energy sustainability. He noted that to address the projected future energy deficit, regional countries seek to strengthen their energy collaboration with Azerbaijan.
"Nakhchivan has been declared a green energy zone, with plans to expand the number of green energy sources there," Mammadzada said.
He also pointed out Türkiye's key role in the transmission of green energy to Europe. Additionally, Iran has shown increasing interest in collaborating with Azerbaijan in this sector.
Mammadzada concluded, "I believe Azerbaijan will soon receive new proposals related to green energy cooperation from neighboring countries."
