ANAS president: Khoshbakht Yusifzada played big role in discovery of over 20 fields in Caspian Sea

Khoshbakht Yusifzada played a major role in the discovery of more than 20 oil and gas fields in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Isa Habibbayli said at the farewell ceremony for academician Khoshbakht Yusifzada, Report informs.

He noted the great merit of Khoshbakht Yusifzada in the discovery of the well-known oil and gas fields of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, Absheron, Umid, etc.

The president of ANAS noted that Yusifzada made a great contribution to the development of science in the oil industry: “He is one of the few people after whom a tanker was named during his lifetime, and secondary school No. 112 was named after him.”
