Israel is considering the export of gas to Europe through TANAP (Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline) and TAP (Trans-Adriatic Gas Pipeline), Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan George Deek told Report.
"We don't import gas from Azerbaijan. And in fact, another avenue of cooperation that we are looking into is how to export our gas to Europe, which is in dire need of this nowadays. There are ideas about liquefying the gas, building a pipe through Egypt, building a pipe through Greece to Italy, and there's always the option of building a pipe through Turkiye. And we could connect, for example, to the TAP and TANAP pipelines. We'll see which strategy the new government in Israel will follow," he said.
