Ambassador: 'Azerbaijan and Italy have established strong cooperation in energy sector'

Azerbaijan and Italy have established strong cooperation in the energy sector, Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Claudio Taffuri said at the opening of a new visa center in Baku, Report informs.
“Cooperation has been established between our countries in many areas. In addition, Italy is one of the main buyers of oil and gas from Azerbaijan; we receive more than 50% of this country’s exports,” the diplomat emphasized.
The ambassador also noted that a military attache office was opened in Baku, thus the number of embassy employees will increase.
“So now the embassy is represented in a much more effective state than it was before,” the diplomat noted.
