AIOC increases associated gas delivered to SOCAR

During the first half of 2022, the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) delivered an average of around 9 million cubic metres per day of ACG associated gas to the state of Azerbaijan (2 billion cubic metres in total), primarily at the Sangachal terminal but also to SOCAR’s Oil Rocks facility.
This figure is 25% higher than the previous year.
The remainder of the associated gas produced was re-injected for reservoir pressure maintenance, Report informs via BP-Azerbaijan.
The AIOC is a consortium formed to implement the terms of the “Agreement on the Joint Development and Production Sharing for the Azeri and Chirag Fields and the Deep Water Portion of the Gunashli Field in the Azerbaijan Sector of the Caspian Sea” signed among SOCAR and international companies. The consortium was established in February 1995 after PSA was ratified by the Parliament of Azerbaijan on December 2, 1994.
SOCAR and co-venturers signed an amended and restated Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) on September 14, 2017, and extended the development of this field until 2049.
ACG participating interests are: bp (30.37%), SOCAR (25.0%), MOL (9.57%), INPEX (9.31%), Equinor (7.27%), ExxonMobil (6.79%), TPAO (5.73%), ITOCHU (3.65%), ONGCVidesh (2.31%).
