The issue of COVID infections in schools is being addressed locally, Mehriban Valiyeva, head of the Baku City Education Department, told journalists, Report informs.
The head of the department said that if a serious problem happens, either the school or the class transfers to distance learning by the decision of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology: "After the end of the quarantine regime (14 days), the school is returned to face-to-face education. Besides, the problem is slowly going to be better."
Valiyeva also commented on the fact that some schools have small gyms, so classes are held in the schoolyard: "Existing problems are solved in a programmed and analyzed way. In turn, work is underway to repair schools and improve infrastructure."
