Final stage of second wave of Azad Mirzajanzada Development Program kicks off in Azerbaijan

The final stage of the second wave of the Azad Mirzajanzada Development Program, one of the leading initiatives for the development of human capital among the country's youth, has started in Azerbaijan, Report informs.

The program, named after the outstanding Azerbaijani scientist, is aimed at developing leadership competencies in young people, developing project thinking and actively involving them in the processes of social transformation. The final stage includes a series of individual interviews, where projects are selected to receive financial support. Experts with professional knowledge in the relevant fields are invited for each idea.

Based on the results of the interviews, up to 10 winners will be selected, each of whom will receive a grant of up to 5,000 manats ($2,941) to implement their project over the next three months.

This year, the competition is particularly high - applications were received from many regions of the country, and the projects cover a wide range of topics: from social initiatives to technology and sustainable development.

The second wave of the program started in February 2025. Since its launch, the project has been presented to thousands of young people across Azerbaijan, and hundreds of them have applied, eager to go through all the stages of the program and become its winners.

Over the course of several months, participants completed an intensive training program, including training on topics such as emotional intelligence, leadership in the modern world, intercultural dialogue, financial literacy, personal brand, personal social responsibility, project management, and others.

The program pays special attention to mentoring sessions. Participants had the opportunity to communicate with Azad Mirzajanzada's graduates and other successful professionals - deputies, government officials, heads of large organizations, and top managers of the private sector.

A new wave begins in September. Citizens of Azerbaijan aged 18 to 35 with ideas that can change society can take part in it. It is possible to fill out an application by clicking on the link in the description.
