Baku. 14 September. REPORT.AZ/ Achievements reached in the “Year of Quality in Education” give us ground to hope that a well-chosen strategy will help us to achieve our goals in the next academic year, Minister of Education Jeyhun Bayramov said.
According to Report, he said that it is expedient to maintain the positive dynamics achieved by the Ministry of Education in the “Year of Quality in Education” and to continue to develop purposeful measures in 2018-2019 academic year.
Bayramov added they cooperate closely with the State Examination Center on the new format of the first entrance exams: "In short, the new model envisages the calculation of the applicant's score as a sum total of the final and the entrance exams. Thus, the applicants can collect a total of 700 points with maximum 300 points on 3 subjects (native language, mathematics and foreign language) in the first stage (final exam) and maximum 400 points on 3 subjects (native language, mathematics and foreign language) in the second stage (entrance exam). According to the new model, graduates who intend to enter higher education institutions will give fewer exams, and each exam influence their lives. While in previous years, the graduates had to pass two exams on the same subject, only entrance exam influenced their future lives. As in the previous years, the exams will be held by the State Examination Center."
