Azerbaijan will expand the number of schools implementing the specialized education model, Eshgi Baghirov, director of the State Agency for Preschool and General Education (MÜTDA), said on the Pressinq program aired by Public Television (İTV).
Report quotes him as saying teaching was reorganized in some schools where the specialized education model is being implemented.
"When we compare the results of these schools not only with their performance in previous years, but also with university admission figures in this city, we see a significant positive difference. Based on all these results, positive changes and indicators, we decided to expand the project," Baghirov said.
He noted that another 90 schools would join the project in the near future.
"We received around 16,000 applications from parents. We have already started education in these schools. We hope that by the end of the next academic year, we will be able to please both parents and the public with the strong results achieved by these schools," the head of the State Agency concluded.
