Azerbaijan closes schools in several cities as COVID-19 cases soar

The schools in the cities of Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Sheki, and the Absheron region will move to distant learning from April 5, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan's Ministry of Education.
"In the current conditions of the pandemic, next week it is planned to introduce new norms of the organization of educational process," the ministry said in a statement.
Other cities and regions will continue partial in-person learning in compliance with sanitary and hygienic requirements.
