There is no possibility of a devastating earthquake in Azerbaijan in the near future, the Director-General of Center, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Gurban Yetirmishli said, Report informs.
According to him, earthquakes of different magnitudes are recorded regularly, which is normal: “They are not scary. Our country is located in a seismic zone. The Caspian Sea, the southern slope of the Greater Caucasus, Shamakhi, Ismayilli, Guba-Khachmaz, and other areas are located in the active zone.”
