Tree-planting campaign held on the frontline

A tree planting campaign was held in the Tartar region of the front line within the initiative of the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva on planting 650,000 trees in connection with the 650th anniversary of the great poet Imadaddin Nasimi.

Garabag bureau of Report informs that the campaign was very active.

A total of 15,000 trees were planted in the area during the campaign.

Notably, a tree-planting campaign has been launched in Azerbaijan today. A map of the areas where trees are to be planted has been prepared. The map covers all regions of Azerbaijan, including Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Most of the trees are planted along the highways. It is preferred to plant nectar trees that attract bees. In total, 650,000 trees will be planted in the country.

The goal of the tree-planting campaign is to promote internationally the poetry of the world-famous poet Imadaddin Nasimi, to perpetuate his memory, to promote Azerbaijani literature and cultural heritage.
