Simon Stiell urges countries to step up climate action

Simon Stiell, Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, has called on countries to step up climate action and fulfill their international commitments, Report informs.
He made the statement in a video message to participants at an event dedicated to World Environment Day, which is being held in Azerbaijan in partnership with the UN Environment Programme (UNEP).
"Countries should fulfill their commitments to combat climate change. We must act together, and the negotiation process must be intensified," the executive secretary emphasized.
