MENR: Activity in Badamdar sliding zone continues

Baku. 13 October. REPORT.AZ/ Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (MENR) released official information about the landslide in Badamdar.

According to press service of the ministry, specialists of the MENR National Geological Exploration Service conducted next monitoring in sliding zone in Badamdar on October 1. The monitoring revealed new cracks, lakelets on the sliding part, deformations on the load-bearing wall. Cabinet of Ministers and other relevant bodies were informed about the activation of the sliding zone and specialists of the ministry regularly observed the scene.

On October 12, an activity was recorded on the sliding zone and loan-bearing wall moved down by 1.0-1.3 meters.

Taking into account the tension in the sliding zone, a headquarters was created under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Novruz Guliyev.

According to the headquarters, sliding part moved to motor road at about 7:50 a.m. on October 13. At 9:00 a.m. the load-bearing moved down by 5-7 meters.

Currently, an activity is observed in the sliding zone. The scene is regularly observed.
