Construction of 11 automatic hydrological stations starts in liberated territories

"There have been no observations at the points of hydro-meteorological observations in the liberated territories over the past 30 years, the infrastructure has been completely out of order. In the near future, it is planned to resume the work of these points with the use of modern automated observation systems."

Azerbaijani Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev said this at the panel "Great Return to Karabakh: Sustainable Settlement and Economic Reintegration" within the framework of the UNEC Economic Forum, Report informs.

The minister noted that work has already begun on the construction of 11 automatic hydrological stations. According to him, in order to ensure hydro-meteorological safety, the installation of radar observation systems will also be provided.

Mukhtar Babayev added that in order to study the radiological and radio-ecological situation in these territories, together with the relevant structures, monitoring is being carried out.
