State Committee head briefs US delegation on religious freedom in Azerbaijan

Chairman of Azerbaijan's State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Ramin Mammadov has met with the delegation of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom, headed by Stephen Schneck, Report informs referring to the State Committee.

Mammadov spoke about the traditions of coexistence, interfaith harmony and support for religious communities in Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, issues of religious freedom, registration and activities of religious communities, as well as the restoration of religious buildings, including Christian and Jewish churches, were discussed.

The US side highly appreciated the conditions for the activities of religious organizations in Azerbaijan.
