The newly reconstructed road from the Sarsang reservoir to Umudlu village will enhance the transportation of goods and passengers, according to Mammad Mammadov, a senior specialist at the State Road Agency of Azerbaijan, Report informs.
Mammadov stated that following the reconstruction of the road leading to Umudlu village in the Aghdara district, essential measures were implemented to ensure smooth and safe traffic flow: "In accordance with the presidential decree signed last year, the State Road Agency carried out the reconstruction of the road from the Sarsang reservoir to Umudlu village in Aghdara district. The two-lane road, classified as the fourth technical category, stretches 9.4 km, with traffic lanes measuring 6 meters in width."
He also noted that, as part of the reconstruction project, culverts were installed to facilitate rainwater drainage.
On March 19, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the official opening of the newly reconstructed road to Umudlu village.
