The power structures of Russia have crossed out the alliance agreement between Baku and Moscow, political scientist Fikrat Sadigov told Report.
Fikrat Sadigov stated that the recent events in Russia have damaged bilateral relations:
"A number of agreements have been signed between Azerbaijan and Russia, including an agreement on alliance. After these agreements, it is incomprehensible that Azerbaijanis are subjected to pressure in Russia. The said agreements are being crossed out by Russia's power structures. They cannot do such an action on their own. Presumably, they have received certain instructions regarding this. Those who give these instructions are sitting in the upper ranks. This is a blow to the relations between the two countries. It may be that Azerbaijan's independent policy irritates them. This is reality, they should accept this reality, apologize for the events that have occurred and provide an explanation".
