Number of twins, triplets born in Azerbaijan this year revealed

During the first two months of this year, 20,462 babies were registered by the district (city) registration offices of the Ministry of Justice, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

This figure was 12.6 per 1,000 people. The share of boys was 53.3%, and the percentage of girls was 46.7%.

Of all the babies, 616 were twins, and 33 were triplets.
