Number of observers registered for Azerbaijan's parliamentary elections revealed

A total of 228 international observers from 43 countries and 24 institutions have been registered for the upcoming elections to the Milli Majlis (Parliament of Azerbaijan) to be held on September 1, Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), said at a CEC meeting today, Report informs.
The CEC chairman said that 38,744 local observers have been registered for the elections:
"Of these observers, 5,621 are registered in the CEC, and 33,123 are registered in the district election commissions."
