In the near future, it is planned to erect a monument on the graves of those who died during the Bashlibel massacre, Vasif Huseynov, head of a department at the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), said in the presentation of the report prepared by Regional Human Rights and Media Center Public Union on Bashlibel massacre, Report informs.
He recalled that more than 200 people froze to death while fleeing the Murov mountain in Kalbajar:
"At the end of 1993, ethnic cleansing was carried out in Kalbajar. However, 62 people did not leave Bashlibel. 32 of them lost their lives. One person died of a heart attack. 30 people managed to come to Dashkasan district after 113 days of siege. Born in 1890, Alasgar Kazimov did not leave his village and lived under siege."
