Haber Global, a Turkish TV channel, has prepared a report on the snap parliamentary elections held in Azerbaijan on September 1.
The channel's correspondent Murat Karataş spoke in detail about the election process live from Baku. He emphasized that the decision to hold the elections earlier was related to COP29.
Earlier, the elections were expected to be held in November.
The reporter also noted that 990 candidates vied for 125 seats in the Milli Majlis of the 7th convocation. He stated that the main feature that distinguished these elections from the previous ones is that they were held throughout the entire territory of Azerbaijan, including the Karabakh region which was liberated from occupation.
The correspondent stressed that a large number of international observers, including from TURKPA, the CIS, the OSCE, as well as a delegation of the Turkish parliament, monitored the elections.
