Community: Armenia shall ensure return of property to Western Azerbaijanis

The Armenian government shall ensure the return of property and communal lands belonging to Azerbaijanis, Report informs with reference to the Concept of Return to Western Azerbaijan.

The draft Concept was approved at the meeting of the Supervisory Council of the Western Azerbaijan Community held on January 26. The Concept is a document defining the main directions of activity of the Western Azerbaijan Community in this area, whose primary goal is to ensure the peaceful, safe and dignified return of Azerbaijanis expelled from the territory of Armenia.

This Concept defines the general framework for the objectives, principles, preparatory and implementation measures of the activity to be carried out by the Community for the return of Azerbaijanis forcibly deported from the territory of nowadays Armenia. The Concept is based on international law, relevant domestic law, historical facts, and serves to ensure justice and peace.
