CEC chairman: 72 international observers have been accredited

So far, 72 international observers from 19 countries have applied to observe the presidential elections to be held in Azerbaijan on February 7, and all of them have been received positively, the chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov said at the commission's meeting held today, Report informs.
He said that the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) will send 37 observers for the presidential elections, CIS Interparliamentary Assembly 17, Türkiye 5, and CIS 9. Panahov said that the observation mission led by the chairman of the Central Election Commission of Georgia will monitor the election.
In addition, the CEC accredited 228 local observers.
