CEC: 1,053 people submitted signature sheets so far for municipal elections in Azerbaijan

As many as 1,053 people have submitted signature sheets so far for municipal elections, Central Election Commission’s Deputy Chairman Rovzat Gasimov told journalists on Thursday, Report informs.

Gasimov noted that a total of 6,872 people have been nominated as candidates. About 350 candidates have been registered. More than half of the applicants are people aged 21-35.

Municipal elections in Azerbaijan will be held on January 29, 2025.
