In accordance with the plan of events implemented in connection with the COP29 to be held in Baku, the Emergency Situations Ministry (MES) of Azerbaijan continues to carry out educational events, Report informs, citing the ministry.
In this regard, the State Agency for Construction Safety Control under the ministry hosted a meeting themed “The problems the construction sector is facing and their solutions against the background of climate changes that can cause emergency situations.” High-ranking officials and employees of the ministry and its institutions participated in the gathering.
Speaking at the meeting, Gunduz Hamzayev, the deputy head of the General Directorate for Organization of Work with Regional Centers, Project Management and Education Issues of MES, spoke about the importance of various series of events organized by the ministry in connection with COP29 and drew attention to the need to hold such events in relevant institutions of the ministry.
Elkhan Asadov, deputy head of the State Agency for Construction Safety Control, said that the impact of construction activities on climate is one of the most pressing issues in the modern world.
Officials of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the State Architecture and Urban Planning Committee and other state agencies also spoke at the event.
