The Constitutional Court approved the results of the snap elections to Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis held on September 1.
Report informs that after the consultation, the Chairman of the Constitutional Court, Farhad Abdullayev, announced the decision.
According to the decision, the Constitutional Court confirmed the results of the parliamentary elections.
Farhad Abdullayev said that each of the 18 members of the court with decisive voting rights signed the decision.
The chairman noted that the final protocol of the CEC and the documents attached to it comply with the requirements of the Election Code.
The session of the plenum of Azerbaijan’s Constitutional Court on special constitutional proceedings on checkout of the documents submitted by the Central Election Commission and approval of the results of the snap parliamentary election is being held, Report informs.
Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan, Farhad Abdullayev, declared the meeting open. The board members and the court secretary were represented at the meeting. Information from the reporting judge on the setting of the date, conduct, and results of the election is heard.
Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov, deputy chairman Rovzat Gasimov and all CEC members and experts participate in the meeting.
Following the meeting, the parliamentary election results will be approved.
