Azerbaijan extends coronavirus border restrictions until late May

Azerbaijan is extending the ongoing border closure until May 31 curb the spread of the coronavirus, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told Report.
"Currently, the world is taking measures to combat the novel coronavirus. As part of these measures, many countries decided to restrict access to their territories and cancel international flights temporarily," said the Task Force.
Analyzing the global situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, the air, and land borders of Azerbaijan will remain closed until May 31, except for cargo and charter flights, the Task Force informed.
So far, Azerbaijan has confirmed 1,717 coronavirus cases, 22 deaths.
