Association head: Book on cuisine of Iravan Khanate contains information about 413 dishes

The book "The Cuisine of the Iravan Khanate" has been translated into English, and is currently being translated into Russian, and will probably be translated into other languages, the chairman of the Azerbaijan National Culinary Association (ANCA), Honored Cultural Worker Tahir Amiraslanov said at the presentation of the book, Report informs.

According to the ANCA chairman, the book provides information about 413 dishes.

Amiraslanov recalled that in 2022, the National Dishes portal was created on the website of the Ministry of Science, Education, Culture and Sports of Armenia, where about 250 Azerbaijani dishes were listed as part of Armenian cuisine:

"On October 31 last year, Pashinyan declared that 'culinary heritage' an integral part of Armenia’s security strategy. That is, our national dishes are still being stolen and appropriated. This book is a strong response to such attempts. On the other hand, this book is proof of our presence in Western Azerbaijan. During the preparation process, we met with over 1,500 people, collected information from them."
