By the end of 2026, about 40,000 former internally displaced persons will return to Azerbaijan’s Gubadli, Zangilan and Jabrayil districts in stages, special representative of the president of Azerbaijan for the Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts Vahid Hajiyev told journalists, Report informs.
Hajiyev reminded that within the state program for 2022-2026, it is planned to build three urban centers, five villages and 24 villages in the Jabrayil, Zangilan and Gubadli districts.
In the city of Jabrayil, construction of a large residential complex with 712 apartments has already begun, part of the complex will be put into operation after two months. This year, 712 families will return to Jabrayil, he said.
The special representative of the head of state noted that large-scale construction and restoration work also continues in the Zangilan and Gubadli districts.
The construction of a residential complex of 13 houses has begun in Zangilan. Residents are expected to return to Zanlinan by the end of the year. Work is also underway in the Jahangirbayli village in the Zanligan district, the Khorovlu village in the Jabrayil district, and the Mahruzlu and Zilanli villages in the Gubadli district, he added.
