889 hectares of land cleared of mines in Azerbaijan's liberated territories

A total of 16 anti-tank mines, 52 anti-personnel mines, and 129 unexploded ordnance (UXO) were discovered and neutralized in the liberated areas from June 2 to June 9, said the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), Report informs.

According to the ANAMA, 889.2 hectares of land were cleared of mines.

Mine clearance operations were carried out by ANAMA, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), the State Border Service (SBS), and four private companies in the territories of Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankandi, Shusha, Khojavand, Lachin, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Gubadly, and Zangilan, as well as in the liberated villages of Baghanis Ayrim, Ashaghy Askipara, Khayrymly, and Gyzylhajili in the Gazakh district.
