5 years pass since appointment of Mehriban Aliyeva as Azerbaijan's First VP

Five years have passed since Mehriban Aliyeva took office as First Vice President of Azerbaijan, Report informs.

The referendum on constitutional amendments held in Azerbaijan in 2016 demonstrated a new, successful stage of important reforms. The creation of the Vice President's Institution, as part of a transformation in line with the demands of the time, marked the beginning of the next successful period in the field of public administration.

Earlier, Mehriban Aliyeva, who was a member of the Parliament in 2005-2017, made a significant contribution to the development of parliamentary traditions in Azerbaijan. The inter-parliamentary friendship groups headed by her have played an invaluable role in the development of Azerbaijan's international relations.
